Forging On In the Sun

The past week has been a challenging one at the Balefire Forge. Not only was our little pocket of the Downs particularly affected by the summer heatwave, resulting in temperatures in the mid-30s; we also had to contend with rolling power cuts!

Chris has really had to battle the elements, but he came out victorious, spending the time he was without electricity hand-forging elements for a basket hilt. Hot and sweaty work, but all coming together.

With the power back in action and the temperatures dropping to the rather more bearable mid-20s, we're pushing on with custom orders and a new Black Ribbon sword!
