New Shapes, New Skills

This week has held all sorts of new challenges, including tackling a new (for me) pommel shape. This one's taken from a classic Venetian sidesword design, with its striking elongated teardrop pommel.

I hand-forged mine, making it semi-hollow, as I believe the original would have been. It looks just the part in place with the blade and crossguard!
