This lightweight cup-hilted rapier is designed for training and drilling, and would particularly suit a newer fencer. Exceptionally light, but with a long pivot, it is nimble in the hand and easy on the wrist, but still able to bind well against an opposing blade. The hardened steel cup and quillons provide comprehensive and durable hand protection. Best suited to later styles of rapier and to modern HEMA fencing, it finds a fine middle ground between speed and holding the line.

It features a 10.5cm cup made from hardened steel, wide, straight, round-section quillons for additional hand protection, and a flattened sphere pommel with carved decoration. The oak grip is wrapped in linen thread and brown kidskin.

The guard is built to historical proportions and sizings. It is optimised for ambidextrous use with small-to-medium hands, i.e. a palm size of approximately 8-9cm across.
